【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversafour-strokecycledieselenginetestprocedureforevaluatingengineoilsforcertainhigh-temperatureperformancecharacteristics,particularlyringsticking,ringandcylinderwear,andaccumulationofpistondeposits.SuchoilsincludebothsingleviscositySAEgradeandmultiviscositySAEgradeoilsusedindieselengines.Itiscommonlyknownasthe1M-PCtest(PCforPre-Chamber)andisusedinseveralAPIoilcategories,notablytheCFandCF-2andthemilitarycategorydescribedinMIL-PRF-2104(seeNote0).Note0CompaniontestmethodsusedtoevaluateotherengineoilperformancecharacteristicsforAPIoilcategoriesCFandCF-2arediscussedinSAEJ304.ThecompaniontestsusedbythemilitarycanbefoundinMIL-PRF-2104.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorotherunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thistestmethodisarrangedasfollows:
